| Post Hurricane Ike - Jefferson & Hardin County Schools - dates for resuming |
Several school districts in the area have given word that if power is restored and all city services are functional they will begin to resume classes.
The Beaumont School District says they are shooting to have classes back in session on Monday the 29th.
The Port Arthur ISD has a tentative date set for classes to resume. The district hopes to resume classes on Thursday, September 25th.
The Community Christian School in Orange is asking that all teachers and staff return to school at 8:00 Monday morning, the 22nd. They are hoping to resume classes on Tuesday the 23rd.
The Lumberton ISD is asking all staff to report to work at 9:00 Tuesday the 23rd, classes will resume for students on Wednesday the 24th.
Kountze ISD will resume classes Thursday the 25th at the normal time. All staff should return Tuesday the 23rd at 8:30.
The Silsbee ISD is asking all employees to report to work at 9:00 Tuesday the 23rd. All students will head back to school at the regular time on Thursday, September 25th.
The Hardin-Jefferson ISD is making progress in their recovery efforts. The district expects to have power restored by the end of next week. Classes will resume on Monday, September 29th.
The Woodville ISD says they are planning for teachers to come back to work on Tuesday the 23rd, and students will resume classes on Wednesday the 24th.
Orangefield ISD wants teachers and employees to return to work on Thursday the 25th. Students will resume classes on Monday the 29th.
Port Neches-Groves ISD will resume classes on Thursday the 15th at regular times. Faculty is asked to return on Wednesday, September 24th.
Ridgewood Chirstian School in Port Arthur will resume classes on Monday, September 29. Teachers are to report Friday, September 26 at 9:00a.m.
Legacy Christian Academy will resume classes on Wednesday, September 24 at the normal time. Faculty and staff should return on Monday, September 22 at 4:00p.m. All Saints School in Beaumont will resume Classes on Thursday September 25 at the normal time. Staff should report on Wednesday, September 24. Warren ISD will resume classes on Wednesday, September 24th. |
