May 2, 2009, is Lemonade Day !!!
Lemonade Day is all about teaching young people the fundamentals of business and financial management. They learn how to create budgets, secure investors, select a site, purchase supplies, set prices, serve customers, set profit-making goals, repay their investors, and give back to the community or a charity of their choice. For many young people, Lemonade Day offers them their first experience in earning their own money and opening a bank account.
The power of Lemonade Day is simple: almost every adult in this country can recall experiences when they were kids with either selling lemonade or buying it from their friends. Setting up lemonade stands is part of the fiber and fabric of America.
On May 2, 2009, it would be awesome to see the entire Southeast Texas area selling lemonade, buying lemonade or drinking it!
