| BRAIN TEASERS EXHIBIT AT THE TEXAS ENERGY MUSEUM |
The exhibit, that continues through September 7, 2008, features 21 hands-on puzzles designed to develop problem-solving skills and provide plenty of fun.
Visitors are presented with a wide array of challenges from mathematical conundrums to mind-boggling block puzzles. To solve these puzzles, participants must use creative thinking and mental strategies such as looking for patterns, thinking ahead, setting aside preconceived ideas, and looking at problems from different perspectives.
BRAIN TEASERS was created and is toured by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Local funding is provided by the Motiva Enterprises Port Arthur Refinery, the Gay D. and William F. Scott Family Foundation, and the Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation.
The Texas Energy Museum is located at 600 Main Street, in Beaumont''s downtown museum district. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 pm to 5 pm. For more information call 409-833-5100. |
